Our Story
In 9th century Ethiopia, a goat herder named Kaldi noticed his goats were unusually energized after eating bright red berries from a nearby tree. He didn't walk past. He paid attention. He brought the berries to a monastery, the monks brewed them — and the world discovered coffee.
Kaldi didn't have special access. He just noticed what others walk past.
That's what we do here.
Every day, the federal government makes decisions, issues subpoenas, opens investigations, and holds hearings that directly affect your life. Most of it never makes the news. The documents are dense, the language is intentionally complex, and the people who benefit from your confusion are counting on you staying confused.
We're not okay with that.
Kaldi Watch monitors federal accountability and translates it into plain English — readable in 30 seconds, actionable in 2 minutes. We score every action on a 1-10 Goat Scale so you can tell the difference between political theater and real accountability.
No spin. No team. No agenda except yours.
"The goal of Kaldi Watch is to provide useful information to the people to allow them to make informed decisions."
